the restored glory in Berkeley
The stately historical exterior of this home belied the many renovations prior owners had done throughout the years. We were happy to demo the 80's spaceship-like steam shower as well as a load bearing wall that divided the kitchen and dining room. It's true that it's maybe too common these days to tear down walls in favor of open concept great rooms, but here the approach made perfect sense. The new space flows wonderfully throughout, providing a perfect environment for entertaining while also serving the daily demands of a modern family. An ideal blend of updated traditional, we selected contemporary finishes and fixtures to blend seamlessly with this 1914 home.
